Most people are very familiar with Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten's flagship restaurant Jean Georges, ABC Kitchen and The Mercer Kitchen to name a few in New York City. This time, I got to visit chef's first restaurant that opened in 1991, JoJo Restaurant on the Upper East Side. JoJo was Chef Jean-Georges’ nickname as a young boy. As cliché as it sounds, eating at JoJo brought me back to my days living in France. The casual elegance of the restaurant was a perfect lunch date spot on the upper east side.
